I am a married mother of two now college-aged honor students. I am very proud as both are attending prestigious private institutions, DePaul University in Chicago and Carleton College in Minnesota. Motherhood and helping my own children reach success is actually what inspired me many years ago to venture into Childcare as a profession.  It was after working in my son’s Head Start classroom that I realized the need for greater quality early childhood care in our community that my quest began.

Since my program doors opened in 2008, I have strived to provide care above basic licensing standards, because that is what I would want for my own children.  My program has since achieved quite a few accomplishments such as, National Accreditation awarded by the (NAFCC) National Association of Family Child Care, the Illinois ExceleRate Silver Quality Rating with the State of Illinois, several quality achievement grants, and many community accolades.  I also served as Vice President and a standing board member of a local provider association for 5 years.

One of my favorite sounds is children’s laughter.  Learning should be fun, and PLAY is the most important ingredient in a quality learning environment.  I believe that if a child is having fun, he or she is in their best possible state to absorb and learn.  That is why it will be my personal goal to ensure your child’s experience will be the best it can be every single day.

Rest assured that my heart is always open for what is new and exciting in early education and for best practices with serving children and families. Therefore I will always make sure that we are in tune with current events and engaged in advocacy on your behalf.  This is what will keep our new partnership in your child’s development strong.  I absolutely love working with children and my passion continues to be making sure Peas in a Pod Daycare is a wonderful place for your future “Sweet Pea” to sprout, learn, play, and grow.
